Design & Construction

When you see the Bose SoundLink Revolve+ for the first time, you might have wondered about its uncanny resemblance to your oversized water bottle. Bose has certainly gain design cues from there and take it to the next level. The SoundLink Revolve+ is intentionally crafted with no seams around its aluminium body and with such a design, the speaker is bump-resistant, So you don't have to worry about your investment failing again the next time it slips out of your hand. It is also splash-resistant with a IPX4 rating. All the controls can be found on the top of the speaker. There is the (In Clockwise Direction); the Power button. the Input button, Volume +, Multi-function button, Mic, Volume - buttons and the Bluetooth button. The Multi-function button enables  play/pause with a single press, skip forward with double presses or skip backward with triple presses. To answer or end a call, just press the Multi-function button once. Finally, to bring up Google Assistant/Siri, long press the Multi-function button. Under the Bose logo, there is a NFC tag for easy pairing. Each time, you turn on the speaker the voice prompts will tell you the battery life remaining and the device connected to. At the back, there is 3,5mm aux port and Micro-USB port. It does come with a strap on the top which makes it easy to carry or hang anywhere.


Sound Quality

The SoundLink Revolve boasts about its 360° sound. At maximum volume, the speaker pumps out tunes really loud without distortion. At 50% volume, it can fill a large room. The bass response is fantastic too, it hits deep and equivalent to its competitors. Highs sound bright and are not too sharp to listen to. Mids are very clear and details like instruments do stand out. Users can also double up with another SoundLink Revolve+ for stereo sound. However, do also note that it does not have a wide soundstage but that is typical of portable Bluetooth speakers.

Connectivity & Portability

Pairing via Bluetooth or NFC is simple and quick. An aux port is offered for wired usage. Its battery life peaks at a high of 16 hrs and charging it takes approximately 4 hours. There is also a optional charging cradle to allow the speaker to be docked hassle-free. Underside, a tripod mount is available to mount the speaker at a higher height. Using the Bose Connect App, you can easily pair both speakers together and switch between Party Mode and Stereo Mode. Party Mode allows for a louder sound overall, while Stereo Mode allows distinct left and right channels and a slightly wider soundstage.

The Bose SoundLink Revolve+ is indeed the most unique yet durable speaker but at a price. With 360° Sound and bright sound signature.
